Tutoring

1:1 sessions you can book online, and bespoke group tutoring planned around your students. Online, or in person on the Sunshine Coast.

1:1 tutoring

What a session looks like

We start with what you bring: a question from class, a practice paper or feedback on a task. You do the maths; I ask the questions that get you unstuck, and we finish with a few problems you can do on your own.

Who it is for

Students in Years 7 to 12, especially in Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, General Mathematics and Essential Mathematics. Whether you are catching up or aiming higher, the session starts where you are.

What to bring

Your class notes, the questions you are stuck on, the calculator you use in exams, and any teacher feedback you have. A specific question beats a whole topic.

Group tutoring

Group tutoring is planned for each group. It suits:

  • small groups of friends or classmates working on the same subject
  • holiday intensives before a unit or the external exam
  • school or community groups that want sessions for their students

Every group is different, so each one is quoted individually. Tell me about yours and I will reply with a plan and a quote.

A note on who I tutor

I am a practising secondary maths teacher and head of department. To avoid any conflict of interest, I do not tutor students from the school where I teach.
